Our history and development

  • 1989

    Founding of MicroTri

    MicroTri was founded in September in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

  • 1991

    MicroTri Vienna and MicroTri Bratislava

    Daughters companies in Vienna (Austria) and Bratislava (Slovakia) were founded.

  • 1992

    MicroTri Belgrade

    During this period the company traded with computers
    and had a software creative team.
    After the war in Bosnia began, company had to move the headquarters
    from Sarajevo (BIH) to Belgrade (Serbia).

  • 1996

    Factory in Dolny Ohaj (Slovakia)

    First own factory, “green field investment” in Dolny Ohaj (Slovakia),
    at that time furniture company.

  • 1997

    Sawmill in Bajina Bašta (Serbia)

    MicroTri builds its first sawmill, another "green field invesment".

  • 1999

    Expansion of the sawmill in Bajina Bašta

    Our sawmill gets double big, counting more than 100 employees.

  • 2000

    Production of edge-glued panels

    Conversion of factory in Dolny Ohaj into production of edge-glued panels.

  • 2004

    Sawmill in Kraljevo (Serbia)

    MicroTri buys the state-owned sawmill “Jasen” in Kraljevo (Serbia) and invests into renovation of the old sawmill, installing fully new steaming and drying capacities.

  • 2006

    Production of finger-jointed panels

    New equipped factory for finger-jointed panels in Kraljevo starts to work
    with capacity 200m³ per month.

  • 2010

    FSC certified

    MicroTri becomes FSC certified.

  • 2012

    New finger-joint line

    MicroTri doubles the capacity of FJ panels to 400m³ per month.

  • 2014

    Investments in Kraljevo

    MicroTri implements new band-saw line, which has increased capacity of logs cutting.
    Also our production od finger-joint panels in Kraljevo gets modernized
    by improving gluing process and transfering to high-frequency gluing.

  • 2016

    Modernization in Dolny Ohaj

    MicroTri improves production of edge glued panels
    by transfering to high-frequency gluing.
